ABOUT MAGNUS JÖRGEL | INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL | INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS | ||
Magnus Jörgel has a background as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Swedish Armed Forces and holds a degree of Master of Arts (War Studies) from Kings College, London. Magnus Jörgel joined the Swedish National Defence College in 2001 and has focused his research on Africa and its conflict. |
After a study visit to the Skandia Future Center
(SFC) in Waxholm, I became aware that there are methods of measuring
immaterial assets in a company. Would this be feasible in the Swedish
National Defense? I began my individual paper with the heading “How
can the Swedish National Defense make its Intellectual Capital visible”? |
Since 1998 Magnus have been
involved in IR in many different forms, his studies at Kíngs College,
London, and Swedish National Defence College, but also his research and
other academic activities. Magnus research and research trips have been
focused on conflicts, its rationale and context but also their
solutions. His work have been done mostly in Subsaharan Africa, his
network spans from West African governments to ECOWAS, AU and UN.

Since 2008 Magnus Jörgel has, in
addition to his placement at the SNDC, held a position as a Senior
Advisor for the Liberian Government, which has been based at the
